Reaching agreement

In many cases people need help to reach agreement. We can assist you at every stage of the process. We can advise you in respect of your rights and legal entitlements (and this can happen before you've separated), we consider all relevant factors to determine your legal position (and strategy) and we can undertake negotiations on your behalf to reach the best possible outcome.

If you and your ex-partner have been able to reach agreement between yourselves as to ongoing care arrangements for the children, or other important issues affecting children, we are able to prepare necessary documents to reflect the agreement you have already reached. In a situation where you have largely reached agreement but need advice on various issues, we can advise you and help with the final negotiations to get the agreement over the line.

If there are concerns about a child(ren)'s safety, or your own safety, we can assist you with preparing or responding to urgent Family Court proceedings.

No safety concerns

If there are no safety concerns then Family Court proceedings are uncommon, but can be necessary in specific situations.
