George applies his experience that spans over 15 years to disputed matters arising out of and relating to contracts, construction disputes and defective buildings, insolvency, debt recovery and enforcement.
Prior to joining Simpson Western, George practiced as a barrister (Advocate) for 8 years in South Africa, before qualifying and being admitted to practice in Australia and New Zealand. George has appeared as counsel with considerable success in a number of District Court and High Court cases, as well as in various tribunals, arbitrations and mediations.
“My primary goal is to assist clients to resolve disputes quickly and cost effectively. When it comes to disputes, I often find that matters can be unnecessarily overcomplicated which inevitably leads to protracted and expensive litigation. What sets me apart is the ability to simplify complex issues, enabling me to provide clients with clear and concise advice.”
George is fluent in English, Greek and Afrikaans. When George is not assisting clients, you’ll find him on the ocean or wading a backcountry river fly fishing. George is an avid footballer. When he is not playing football, he is on the sidelines supporting his young daughters and wife.
