Jeremy Jones Senior Solicitor

Jeremy is a senior solicitor in our business team.  He has experience across a wide range of commercial matters and advises both local and international businesses. Jeremy is also a member of our finance and insolvency team and regularly assists lenders in the asset finance industry.

Jeremy has a pragmatic and efficient approach to his practice, where he enjoys taking an active interest in your business and assisting it to succeed and grow.   He can help you problem solve and strategise, assist with your risk management, compliance, and governance responsibilities. Jeremy can also walk you through the 'major transactions' you may wish to undertake - whether it be a business sale or acquisition, a finance transaction or a restructure.

A ‘North Shore boy’ at heart, Jeremy grew up on the Shore and attended the University of Auckland, where he studied law and commerce. In his spare time, Jeremy is never far from the water. He sits on the North Shore Rowing Club's Management Committee and has previously coached rowing crews at Westlake Boys' High School. Jeremy also enjoys a spot of fishing, scuba diving and boating whenever Auckland’s weather permits.

“I thrive on helping our clients grow their businesses and assisting them to effectively manage situations of risk.  Simpson Western's location, depth of experience and personal approach means that we can listen and understand our clients' needs, and then deliver our services in a pragmatic, meaningful and effective manner.”
